PetrolBud is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the PetrolBud app and website across all supported regions including Australia, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Singapore.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information required to operate and improve PetrolBud:

• Account information: name, email address, and profile details you provide.
• Location data (with your permission) to show nearby fuel stations and live prices.
• Fuel price submissions you voluntarily contribute.
• App usage data such as features accessed, fuel type preferences, and settings.
• Device and technical data including app version, operating system, and crash diagnostics.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Operate and maintain the PetrolBud platform.
• Display relevant fuel prices and nearby stations based on your location.
• Process and display user-submitted fuel price updates.
• Improve app performance, accuracy, and reliability.
• Provide customer support.
• Send optional notifications such as price drop alerts (only if enabled).
• Display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob.

3. Advertising

PetrolBud uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings. For iOS, you will be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission before any personalised ads are shown.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared only with trusted third-party service providers necessary to operate the Service, including:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, hosting)
• Google Maps (station location and mapping)
• Google AdMob (advertising)
• Stripe (premium subscription payments — web)
• Apple and Google (in-app purchases)

These providers are bound by their own privacy policies and applicable data protection laws.

5. Public Fuel Price Sources

PetrolBud displays data sourced from authorised and publicly available fuel price providers, including NSW FuelCheck, WA FuelWatch, SA Fuel Pricing Information, QLD Government Open Data, DOE Philippines, and regional equivalents. No personal user data is shared with these providers.

6. Premium Subscriptions

If you purchase a PetrolBud Premium subscription, payment is processed by Stripe (web), Apple (iOS), or Google (Android). We do not store full payment card details. Subscription status is stored securely in your account.

7. Data Retention

Your information is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the app or by contacting us. Some data may be retained as required by law.

8. Data Security

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), Firebase Authentication, and role-based access controls. No system is completely secure; we encourage you to use a strong password.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.

10. Children's Privacy

PetrolBud is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. International Users

PetrolBud operates across multiple countries. By using the app, you consent to your data being processed in accordance with this policy regardless of your country of residence.

12. Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to external websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app or email. Continued use of PetrolBud after changes constitutes acceptance.
